Kira Gurnée Host Biography
With a background in Broadcast Journalism and a talent for both improv and comedy, Kira Gurnée has always been a natural host for shows and events. She has done everything from color commentary from the Superbowl, to a show retracing James Dean’s fateful final drive, in her own Porsche. You may even recognize her voice as the commentator who busted the boys’ balls on SPEED TV’s Street Tuner Challenge.
Kira is a former dancer and gymnast, an amateur gearhead, and a definite adrenaline junkie! She’s also a certified wine expert, and a girl who eats more than just lettuce!
Her adventurous spirit, approachable personality, and vivacious energy combine to keep the audience fully engaged and entertained. As a stand up comic (The Comedy Store, The Improv, etc.), Kira loves injecting humor into a show and enjoys making the most of whatever situation presents itself – even if it’s at her own expense!
Kira has traveled all over the world in search of different adventures. With interests that include bungee jumping, sport bike riding, scuba diving, car racing, jetskiing, snowboarding, ziplining, hiking, live concerts (she’s introduced many of the biggest artists onstage and hung out with them in the green room), and pretty much any activity that your mother would shake her head at, you can count on Kira to leave no possibility untried!
With a passport always kept current, she calls both New Zealand and the Caribbean her second homes. No matter which location, Kira is often in her Voiceover studio working on various projects for TV, Film, Movie Channels, Radio, the Internet, and Live events.
In her free time, Kira likes to dance, eat sushi so fresh it’s still moving, and convince friends with better sports cars to let her test them at the track!
